something greater than the goals

I didn't manage to write last night. I started my day early and ended it late. When I got home, I fell into my bed and went to sleep with little other thought.

It doesn't feel wasted though and I don't feel failure. You see, I spent the day productively. I visited friends for the day. We had fun and fellowship. There was joy.

I am grateful for the way the Lord has blessed me with precious friendships. He has given me people in unexpected ways and places. He has blessed me beyond what I deserve.

Most of my closest friends are spread far and the times I spend with them are precious to me. Yesterday, that was my number one priority.

And I think that was greater than checking off any goal.
